Blueberries for Sal

The children's literature book for this quarter's round is Blueberries for Sal.

My 12" x 12" mini quilt is literal in interpretation. 

The"onomatopoia" words of the berries dropping into Sal's pail are embroidered. 
 Sal, her pail and one of the bears (you can decide if it is baby or mama) were appliqued.
I had fun shopping for the blueberry fabric--just a fat quarter. 

The triangles on the back are great for hanging.
