About Four-in-Art

Inspired by another small art quilt exhibit, four quilters got together to try their hand at creating small, defined art works.  We initially named ourselves after the number of quilters, but we expanded our number of quilters to nine, so the name refers now to the number of times per year we do challenges: four.

Our members vary in age, experience, location but what we all have in common is a desire to break out of the usual gridded experience and try a new concept, free of structure or preconception, moving the boundaries of our own skills forward in both concept and technique.

We publish four times a year in February, May, August and November.  We put the quilts up in our own personal digital space (Flickr pages or blog) then add them here, and to our group Flickr account.
